The Southampton Agriculture and Forestry Museum/Heritage Museum provides a unique look at rural life in Virginia for the past 200 years. The museum has over 4,000 items and consists of several buildings filled with artifacts of the Nottoway Indians and “treasures” from the 18th, 19th and early 20th centuries. Included are a grist mill, saw mill, country store, one-room school, ice and smoke houses, a country store and two outhouses.

The Rawls Museum Arts is an extension of the Virginia Museum of Fine Art. Unique and historical art is displayed in this state of the art facility. Completed in 2000, this 5,000 square foot museum has attracted local, regional and nationally known artists. The structure houses two large galleries, a gift shop and office space. Each month you visit, you will find a new exciting art collection to view.
